1. To encourage employees of subordinate agencies, schools, and enterprises to learn Hakka and improve their Hakka language proficiency, thereby enhancing the quality of public services, the aforementioned Measures have been formulated and will take effect from March 1, 2019.

These Measures encourage employees of Taoyuan City Government to participate in Hakka language study courses and Hakka proficiency certification exams by granting official leave or compensatory leave and providing relevant incentives (details as per the Measures). Among these, employees of Taoyuan City Government who participate in and pass the Hakka proficiency certification exam within the city may be rewarded with gift vouchers according to the prescribed amount.

Additionally, the "Measures for Encouraging the Public to Participate in Hakka Proficiency Certification Subsidies" by the Hakka Affairs Bureau of Taoyuan City Government stipulate that applicants (citizens registered in this city) should submit an application to the district office of their registered household within 30 days from the date of issuance of the qualification certificates for each level of the Hakka proficiency certification exam each year, along with a copy of the qualification certificate (which should be signed by the applicant) and other relevant documents.

4. The qualification certificates for the intermediate and advanced intermediate Hakka proficiency certification exams in 2018 were issued on February 22, 2019.
