For your information, the Central Election Commission has announced matters concerning the election of the 15th President and Vice President. All personnel in government agencies (organizations) and schools are required to strictly adhere to administrative neutrality.

Details:

1. In accordance with the Ministry of Personnel's letter dated October 9, 108 (1084863110), ref: Ministry of Personnel Law II.

And attached is a copy of the original letter.

2. This election announcement was issued on September 12, 108, and the application for candidacy for the 15th President and Vice President and the 10th Legislative Yuan will be accepted from November 18 to 22 of the same year.

The election voting for the aforementioned personnel will be conducted on January 11, 109.

During the election period, all personnel in government agencies (organizations) and schools shall strictly adhere to administrative neutrality in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Civil Service Administrative Neutrality Act (hereinafter referred to as the Neutrality Act).

3. According to the provisions of the Civil Service Act and the Neutrality Act, civil servants shall not use administrative resources, interfere with the execution of official duties, or publicly (including on social media) support specific political parties or candidates for public office in their official capacity.

Furthermore, superiors (including political appointees and elected officials) shall not require civil servants to engage in acts prohibited by the Neutrality Act, in order to maintain the impartial image of administrative neutrality of government agencies.

4. To facilitate government agencies (organizations) and schools in judging the legality of individual cases, the Ministry of Personnel has compiled interpretations, Q&A collections, and examples of violations of the Neutrality Act.
