Attached are the "Regulations for the 9th Taoyuan City Civil Service and Teaching Staff Badminton Championship" and the registration form, one copy each.
Explanation:
I. The Taoyuan City Government organizes this event to promote the physical and mental health of its colleagues, encourage sportsmanship, and foster team spirit.
II. The details of this championship are as follows:
(I) Competition Date and Time: Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
(II) Competition Venue: Fuyang Badminton Recreation Flagship Hall (No. 27, Lane 170, North Dahua Street, Luzhu District, Taoyuan City).
(III) Team Formation and Eligibility:
1. Civil Service Group:
(1) Teams can be formed by the Taoyuan City Council, first-level agencies of the Taoyuan City Government (including affiliated units), district offices (including the Fuxing District representative assembly), public institutions, and the Taoyuan City Government Retired Personnel Association. Each entity may form 1 to 2 male and female teams respectively. The Indigenous Peoples Commission, Department of Legal Affairs, Hakka Affairs Bureau, Youth Affairs Department, and Women and Children Development Administration may form joint teams or combine with the General Affairs Department, Department of Information, Secretariat, Department of Personnel, Department of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, and Department of Government Ethics to form a City Government United Team.
(2) Participating players are limited to currently employed personnel within the establishment, technicians, workers, drivers, cleaning staff, survey assistants, resident police officers, contract employees, acting personnel, and monthly contracted personnel. Substitute service personnel are not included. Retired personnel are limited to retired civil servants and teaching staff from agencies (schools) affiliated with the Taoyuan City Government.
2. Teaching Staff Group:
(1) Teams will be divided by administrative districts, with each district office eligible to form 1 male and 1 female team.
(2) Participating players are limited to currently employed teaching and administrative staff and contract employees within the municipal schools of each district. Substitute service personnel, substitute teachers, and intern teachers are not included.
(3) Full-time staff of municipal schools may choose to participate in either the Civil Service Group or the Teaching Staff Group, but cannot participate in both. Additionally, teaching and administrative staff of municipal kindergartens will be included under the Department of Education and participate in the Civil Service Group.
III. Agencies (organizations) and groups forming teams are requested to complete the registration form and submit it via email to the Department of Personnel, Taoyuan City Government (10058777@mail.tycg.gov.tw) by Friday, June 27, 2025. Please include both the Word document and a stamped PDF file.
IV. The Championship Work Meeting and Team Leaders Meeting will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Conference Room 1301 on the 13th floor of the Taoyuan City Government Building. Participating agencies (organizations) and groups are requested to send representatives. If a representative is absent, the schedule will be drawn by the organizing unit, and no objections will be accepted.
V. Due to ongoing renovations at the Taoyuan City Gymnasium during this championship, the venue has been moved to a professional badminton hall. Given that the new venue is smaller than the City Gymnasium, and to prevent the competition from running too long while adhering to the venue's usage regulations, the following adjustments have been made for this championship:
(I) The winning score for each game has been adjusted to a single game of 25 points.
(II) Teams that did not participate in the previous championship are not eligible to register for this one. However, this restriction does not apply to the Indigenous Peoples Commission, Department of Legal Affairs, Hakka Affairs Bureau, Youth Affairs Department, and Women and Children Development Administration if they form joint teams for registration this year.
(III) Participants are requested to wear badminton shoes, non-marking rubber-soled sports shoes, or indoor sports shoes with white soles, and to comply with the venue's restrictions on food and beverage consumption areas.
VI. The expenses for participating teams in the Civil Service Group will be borne by each respective agency. For the Teaching Staff Group, the expenses will be covered by each district office from the budget allocated for "District-level Sports Games."
