Taoyuan Municipal Taoyuan Junior High School Student Semester Grade Warning and Remedial Examination Implementation Regulations 115.01.07
I. Basis for Implementation (I) Regulations on Student Learning Assessment for Primary and Junior High Schools (Revised on April 24, 113).
(II) Supplementary Regulations on Student Learning Assessment for Junior High Schools in Taoyuan City (Promulgated on August 14, 113, under the Order No. 1130221536 of the Education Bureau).
II. Target Audience
In accordance with the Ministry of Education's "Guidelines for Student Learning Assessment in Primary and Junior High Schools," students whose learning domain grades do not reach a "C" grade will undergo remedial assessments through diverse evaluation methods.
III. Implementation Methods
(I) Within one month after the end of each semester, a list of students whose learning domain grades have not reached a "C" grade will be posted on the school website and the bulletin board in the school's main hall. Remedial examination notices will be distributed on the day students return to school before the new semester begins. Students are required to participate in the remedial assessments organized by the school on the designated dates. The scope of the assessments will be based on the teaching content of that semester, and the methods will be diverse. Each semester, only one remedial examination will be conducted. Unless there are force majeure factors, failure to participate by the deadline will be considered a waiver of the opportunity for remedial assessment.
(II) Students who pass the remedial assessment mentioned in the preceding paragraph will have their learning domain grade recorded as sixty points. However, the remedial examination score will only serve as a basis for graduation and will not be included in the calculation of the graduation grade. Students who fail the remedial assessment will retain their original grade for that learning domain.
(III) Within one month after the completion of the remedial examinations, a grade warning notice will be issued for learning domains where students' semester grades have not reached a "C" grade. Homeroom teachers will contact parents, and if necessary, the school will arrange for counseling staff to provide assistance.
(IV) For students who have not met the graduation standards, the school may issue a graduation certificate or a certificate of completion based on their performance in the remedial assessment after it has been conducted.
IV. Implementation Details
(I) Examination questions for the remedial assessments will be formulated by each learning domain.
(II) The list of students requiring remedial examinations will be generated and announced by the Registration Section of the Academic Affairs Office within one month after the end of each semester.
(III) Remedial Examinations: For centralized remedial examinations, the Academic Affairs Office will announce the classroom assignments before the examination. Students attending the examination at school will be seated in the classrooms and assigned seats as planned by the Academic Affairs Office. For non-centralized remedial assessments, the subject teacher will assign specific tasks to be completed and submitted to the subject teacher within a specified deadline to fulfill the remedial assessment for the semester grade.
(IV) Grade Announcement: The Registration Section of the Academic Affairs Office will announce the remedial examination results within one month after the completion of the semester's remedial examinations and will record the remedial examination scores in accordance with the supplementary regulations of the school's student academic performance assessment.
(V) Grade Warning and Counseling: Within one month after the completion of the remedial examinations, a grade warning notice will be issued for learning domains where the "C" grade has not been reached. Homeroom teachers will contact parents, and if necessary, the school will arrange for counseling staff to provide assistance.
(VI) Remedial Teaching: Remedial teaching will be provided in a timely manner during class or after school.
V. Supplementary Provisions
1. Students attending the semester remedial examination must wear the school uniform or sportswear and bring their student ID card. Those who fail to comply will not be allowed to register or participate in the examination.
2. Students participating in the remedial examination must abide by the examination room rules. Those caught cheating will be reported to the Student Disciplinary Committee and will be subject to a major demerit. Other violations of examination room regulations will be dealt with according to school rules.
3. Invigilation of the remedial examination venues will be carried out by administrative staff. However, if the number of students taking the remedial examination is large, teachers from each learning domain will be requested to provide support.

VI. These regulations shall be implemented after being reviewed by the Student Academic Performance Review Committee and approved by the Principal. Amendments shall follow the same procedure.
