Please refer to the review of the eligibility for athletes with intellectual and hearing impairments for the 109th National Games for Persons with Disabilities of the Republic of China.

| Description: |
| I. | In accordance with the letter from the Taitung County Government, dated October 9, 2019, Ref. No. 1080214572. |
| II. | All athletes wishing to participate in this event must submit the required qualification review materials within the aforementioned deadline. Failure to submit materials within the deadline will result in disqualification and inability to compete. Therefore, please ensure that materials are submitted within the deadline to protect the rights and interests of participating athletes. |
| III. | The eligibility and important notes for athletes with intellectual disabilities and hearing impairments are as follows: |
| (1) | Schedule for submission, review, and announcement of athlete eligibility documents: |
| 1. | Submission Period: November 1 to 15, 2019. |
| 2. | Review Period: November 16 to 30, 2019. |
| 3. | Announcement of Review Results: December 2, 2019. |
| (2) | Athletes with Intellectual Disabilities: |
| 1. | Social Activities Competitions: For athletes participating in Special Olympics Badminton, Bocce, Bowling, and Inline Speed Skating, registration can be directly completed through the online registration system by the county/city, and no review by the R.O.C. Sports Federation for the Disabled Intellectual Disability Committee is required. |
| 2. | Non-Social Activities Competitions: For athletes participating in Track and Field, Swimming, and Table Tennis, participation instructions are as follows. |
| (1) | Athletes who have obtained approval from the International Sports Federation for Persons with Intellectual Disability (INAS) or possess a valid participation certificate issued by the R.O.C. Sports Federation for the Disabled Intellectual Disability Committee, and whose certificate has not expired, can be directly registered through the online registration system by the county/city, and no review by the R.O.C. Sports Federation for the Disabled Intellectual Disability Committee is required. |
| (2) | For those who have not obtained a participation certificate or whose participation certificate is about to expire (certificate expires before May 25, 2020), please submit the relevant athlete review documents to the organizing committee within the deadline. For other details, please refer to the attached brochure and follow the procedures for each schedule to protect the rights and interests of participating athletes. |
| (3) | Athletes with Hearing impairments: |
| 1. | For athletes with hearing impairments, if their disability certificate (handbook) meets the following conditions, an audiology assessment report and audiogram are not required. |
| (1) | Disability Certificate: The disability category field is marked with ICF code [b230], [s260] and ICD diagnostic code [02]. |
| (2) | Disability Handbook: The disability category field indicates hearing impairment. |
| 2. | For athletes with hearing impairments, if their disability certificate (handbook) meets the following conditions, an audiology assessment report and audiogram are required. |
| (1) | Disability Certificate: The disability category field has ICF code [b235]. |
| (2) | Disability Handbook: The disability category field does not indicate hearing impairment. |
