| I. | APX (Advanced Placement eXams) National High School Mathematics and Science Aptitude Test is the most authoritative mathematics and science aptitude test created by National Chiao Tung University. The subjects tested include "Biology", "Chemistry", "Mathematics", and "Physics". All questions are personally drafted by NCTU professors and rigorously reviewed for reliability and validity. The test is open to junior high, senior high, and vocational high school students nationwide. In addition to receiving a certificate of participation and a transcript certified by National Chiao Tung University, participants will also receive an assessment item table to help students understand their learning weaknesses and improve their studies. |
| II. | In line with the Executive Yuan's "2030 Bilingual Nation Policy Development Blueprint", this year's "Advanced" level test will include several questions in English. |
| III. | Test Objectives: |
| (1) | Through objective score assessment, grasp the mathematics and science learning outcomes of high school students. Big data will be provided to educational institutions for various analytical research, promoting the cultivation of national mathematics and science talents, and enhancing students' mathematics and science abilities and international competitiveness. |
| (2) | Provide multi-faceted assessment items to allow students to understand their learning levels in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology, enhance their self-competitiveness, and smoothly transition to university courses. |
| IV. | Test Date: January 24, 110 (Sunday). |
| V. | Registration Period: November 2, 109 to November 16, 109. For registration details, please refer to the attached brochure. |
| VI. | Test Subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics. |
| VII. | Test Levels: Intermediate-Advanced, Advanced. (Choose one level for each subject.) |
| VIII. | Test Fees: NT$500 for Intermediate-Advanced and NT$600 for Advanced for each subject. |
| IX. | School teachers in charge are requested to apply for group registration for the school and to announce it on the school website or group. Students from the school who join the group registration will receive a group discount. |
| X. | In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the principle of reducing group contact, students should register and pay online individually. |
| XI. | Students from low-income, low-middle-income, and impoverished families will have their test fees waived for all subjects (please upload relevant supporting documents to the qualification review area during online registration). |
