Topic: A Journey Through Music History

Classical music originated in ancient Greece. With the rise of Christian music, it developed slowly, influenced by the political, economic, and religious contexts of each era. After the invention of music printing in the 16th century accelerated the dissemination of music, it stimulated the market for musical creation, leading to the 19th century, a golden age of diverse styles and flourishing creativity. In today's lecture, we will explore classical music through its historical context, starting from Gregorian chant; Monteverdi of the Renaissance; Vivaldi and Bach of the Baroque period; Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven of the Classical school; Schubert and Chopin of the Romantic era; Dvořák and Mussorgsky of the National school; to Debussy and Stravinsky of modern times!
