| Subject: | Forwarding the "2023 Taiwan Biodiversity Forum" organized by the Forestry Bureau of the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, and the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy, scheduled to be held on May 22, 2023, in the 2nd-floor International Conference Hall of the Bureau. | 1. | In accordance with the "Letter No. 1120127131" from the Agriculture and Forestry Department of this Government, dated May 10, 2023. |
| 2. | The "Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework" was adopted at the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP15) in December 2022. It sets out the short-term goal of "30 x 30," clearly stipulating the protection of at least 30% of land and sea by 2030, and also addresses corporate disclosure related to biodiversity. To help the public understand international trends in biodiversity conservation, the aforementioned forum is being organized. |
| 3. | This forum invites experts and scholars from industry, government, academia, and research to share insights on international trends and practical achievements in ecological conservation. It aims to guide participants in exploring the dependence and impact of various industries on ecosystem services, in order to find the optimal solutions for achieving harmony between humans and nature. The time, location, and registration website are as follows: |
