| 1. | On December 17, 1903, the Wright brothers designed the "Flyer I" aircraft and flew 37 meters in 12 seconds. This is widely recognized as the first successful powered flight in human history. To commemorate this milestone in aviation history and promote aerospace science knowledge, our museum has planned the "Hand-Launched Glider Competition." The aim is to enhance high school and junior high school students' interest in learning aerospace science through this competition. |
| 2. | The competition is scheduled to be held on December 16 and 17 of this year (112). We invite high school, vocational high school, and junior high school students from across the nation to participate. The total prize money (or equivalent prizes) exceeds NT$140,000. |
| 3. | Online registration will open at 9:00 AM on September 15 of this year and will close at 5:00 PM on September 29. For detailed competition rules and registration methods, please visit our website (https://fly.nstm.gov.tw). We kindly ask for your assistance in promoting this event and encouraging students to sign up and participate. |
