The 15th National Legal Database Competition

Subject: To inform you that the Ministry of Education has forwarded the "15th National Legal Database Competition Activities" and encourages your school's teachers and students to participate actively. Please acknowledge receipt.
Details:  
I. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. Tai Jiao Guo Zi Di 1120111718 dated August 29, 112.
II. The Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Education, in order to promote the use of the National Legal Database as a platform for legal education among junior high school, high school, and vocational high school students (including the first, second, and third grades of five-year junior colleges) and teachers nationwide, are organizing the "National Legal Database Legal Knowledge King Online Challenge Competition" and the "National Legal Database Creative Teaching Competition." This initiative aims to implement the grassroots development of legal education, assist teachers and students in junior high schools, high schools, vocational high schools, and five-year junior colleges in utilizing the National Legal Database for legal education, maximize the effectiveness of legal education promotion, and establish a concept of knowing and abiding by the law.
III. Key points of the activities are summarized as follows:
(1) Legal Knowledge King Online Challenge Competition:
1. Participants: Students from junior high schools, high schools, and vocational high schools nationwide (including the first, second, and third grades of five-year junior colleges), divided into "Junior High School Student Group" and "High School/Vocational High School Student Group."
2. Competition format: Two stages, including an online preliminary round and an on-site final.
3. Online preliminary round: From August 18, 112, to October 25, 112.
(2) Creative Teaching Competition:
1. Participants: Teachers from junior high schools, high schools, and vocational high schools nationwide (including five-year junior colleges), divided into "Junior High School Group" and "High School/Vocational High School Group (including five-year junior colleges)."
2. Competition format: Design lesson plans that integrate legal education-related topics using the "National Legal Database." The themes for this year's lesson plan selection are as follows:
(1) Human rights, rule of law, and gender equality issues.
(2) Major legislative amendment issues.
(3) Information and cybersecurity issues.
(4) Other issues related to legal education.
3. Registration period: From August 18, 112, to October 5, 112.
IV. Please have your school assist in publicizing the event through your institution's website or scrolling marquee during the event period. Related promotional materials and website link icons can be downloaded directly from the "Legal Resources/Download Zone" on the "15th National Legal Database Competition Activities Website" (https://compete.law.moj.gov.tw/).
V. Attached are the "Legal Knowledge King Online Challenge Competition Guidelines," "Creative Teaching Competition Guidelines," and "Event Poster," one copy of each.
