| 1. | "CAT ART by Shu Yamamoto," since its debut, has received widespread acclaim for its playful approach to introducing the "world of cats." Through artistic treasures spanning Eastern and Western art history, it "meow-nifies your vision"! The artworks in this exhibition are by the renowned Japanese artist Shu Yamamoto. In 2007, Mr. Yamamoto accidentally saw his young son using colored pencils to imitate Van Gogh's self-portrait, with the only difference being that the subject's face was a cat instead of Van Gogh. This sparked his journey into creating famous paintings with cats as the protagonists, accumulating over 2,000 works to date, including oil paintings, sketches, and digital art. He has held numerous solo exhibitions and published several art books. Mr. Yamamoto's works are humorous and warm, adhering to the philosophy of the Cat Art Museum: no need to understand the technique, no need to ponder the background, no need to define the value of the work; if you like it, just keep looking at it. This is the truth of the Cat Art Museum. |
| 2. | After touring cities such as Taipei, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Ishinomaki, Shanghai, and Seoul, and visiting 6 Asian cities, the Cat Art Museum returns to Taiwan in 2024 with a brand-new exhibition layout and 10 new cat-themed masterpieces never before exhibited in Taiwan. It will be presented in 5 major sections: "Classical Cat Portraits," "Everyday Cats," "The Beauty of the Feline Form," "Art of Cats," and "Interchangeable Cat Art," showcasing a rich and diverse collection of cat art, with a total of 60 masterpieces. These include works such as "The Cat's Ballad" by Leo Meow Vinci, "Charge! Napoleon Cat" by Meow Wei, and "The Last Cat Food" by Meow Leonardo da Vinci. Additionally, the exhibition features a super-healing "World of Cats" where visitors can step into famous paintings and become cats, a giant stained-glass window "Cats of Light," a "Cat Louvre" exclusively for cats, and new exclusive scenes for Pingtung such as "Cat Nap on the Isle of Cats," "Fountain of Cats," "The Birth of Cat Venus," "Cats at the Cafe," and "Starry Night with Cats." It allows you to re-experience the world from a cat's perspective! Under the artistic guidance of Mr. Shu Yamamoto, visitors will officially enter the "Literary World of Cats" through the magnificent masterpieces of Eastern and Western cat art masters, experiencing a deep, rich, and noble cat culture. |
| 3. | "Art" is no longer an obscure, difficult-to-grasp synonym. Through the accessible and humorous "meow-nified" works in this exhibition, students' curiosity and imagination about art will be sparked, and they will be encouraged to use art to stimulate their emotional expression abilities. |
