Description:
I. This Bureau's letter of December 21, 112 (2023), No. 1120126539, is duly noted.
II. According to the press release from the Taiwan CDC on December 26, 112 (2023), the COVID-19 epidemic in Taiwan has recently been on the rise, and the number of cases in neighboring Southeast Asian countries is also increasing. Therefore, the public is urged to get vaccinated with the COVID-19 XBB vaccine as soon as possible to reduce the risk of severe illness and death after infection.
III. This Bureau has previously requested your school to assist in surveying the number of faculty, staff, and students willing to receive the Moderna XBB.1.5 vaccine, and to complete the survey and report the willingness survey form (URL: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1e12tMWF5qUdu_luH-s1k0TMEM8okRhe9-knuXeFBlUY/edit?usp=sharing) by December 29, 112 (Friday). If the number of people willing to be vaccinated reaches 30 or more, the health authorities can assist in coordinating with medical institutions to provide on-campus vaccinations from January 1 to January 31, 113 (2024).
IV. Considering that January 113 (2024) is the end of the semester, in order to avoid affecting students' learning and examination rights, if your school assesses that on-campus vaccinations cannot be completed between January 1 and January 31, 113 (2024), you may also arrange for on-campus Moderna XBB.1.5 vaccinations before March 31, 113 (2024), to strengthen students' (children's) immunity against epidemics.
V. In addition, the Health Bureau of this government has set up vaccination stations for the Moderna XBB.1.5 vaccine and influenza vaccine at Taoyuan RT-Mart, Yangmei RT-Mart, Neili Carrefour, Xinyonghe Market, and Taoyuan TRA Station on December 30 and 31, 112 (2023). Please inform students, parents, and faculty and staff through various channels to make good use of these opportunities and complete their vaccinations as soon as possible.
VI. Please proceed with the matters as stated in this Bureau's letter of December 21, 112 (2023), No. 1120126539.
