Regarding the Environmental Protection Bureau of this government's handling of the "Taoyuan City 113 Environmental Education Picture Book Creation Submission"

Description:  
I. In accordance with the letter No. 1130000132 of the Environmental Protection Bureau of this Government, dated January 3, 113.
II. To encourage the general public to brainstorm stories based on local environmental issues in Taoyuan, and to select excellent environmental education picture books through creation for future teaching use, in order to enhance the development of the five major environmental education goals for Taoyuan citizens and students, including environmental awareness and sensitivity, environmental conceptual knowledge, environmental values and attitudes, environmental action skills, and environmental action experience, thereby achieving the goal of jointly maintaining environmental sustainability.
III. The content of the call for submissions is briefly described as follows:
(1) Eligibility: Anyone interested in creating environmental education picture books can register. There are three groups. Submitted works can be produced individually or by a group, with a maximum of 5 people per submission.
1. Parent-Child Creation Group: Primarily for students from the third grade of elementary school to the third grade of junior high school. Co-authors may include parents. Illustrations must be primarily by the main creator (child), while text and layout can be jointly created by parents.
2. Youth Creation Group: Primarily for high school students to graduate students of universities and colleges (excluding those in part-time graduate programs).
3. Social Creation Group: For members of the general public.
(2) Creative Direction: One or a combination of the following can be chosen.
1. Taoyuan Issues: Local characteristics and issues of Taoyuan that inspire readers' concern, understanding, and action towards Taoyuan, such as Taoyuan's pond ecosystems, cultural characteristics, the Satoyama Initiative, and water resource reuse.
2. Net-Zero Green Living: Moving towards net-zero emissions by 2050 requires a transformation in everyone's lifestyle, starting with promoting "net-zero green living" in all aspects including food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, leisure, and shopping. Through the sharing economy model, sustainable consumption models, and public dialogue to build consensus, guide changes in people's lifestyles, promote changes in industrial supply chains, and create a sustainable, low-carbon lifestyle to build a future green living environment; to promote net-zero actions and achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), inspiring readers' understanding and action towards environmental sustainability.
3. Climate Change: Through the environmental changes caused by climate change and its impact on humans and living beings, introduce concepts such as "environmental protection" and "net-zero emissions," and convey accurate environmental knowledge.
(3) Target Audience: Suitable for reading by third graders and above in elementary school. For children below third grade, parent-child reading is recommended.
(4) Submission Period: From May 6, 113, to June 14, 113.
