National Tsing Hua University's "Huo Fang Hong Tian Ban, Zhen Shui Hua Emei - Hakka Landscape and Food Culture Deep Dive" Agri-food Education Workshop

Description:  
I. In accordance with the letter from the Department of Secondary Education, Ministry of Education, dated March 29, 113 (2024), Ref. No. 1130042237.
II. To deepen and promote food and agriculture education, the Department of Secondary Education, Ministry of Education, has commissioned National Tsing Hua University to implement the "Demonstration Schools and Regional Support Network Project for Food and Agriculture Education." This event, themed "Hakka Sweet Rice Cake from the Kitchen, Emei's Story Told by the Irrigation Water," aims to foster a learning environment for food and agriculture literacy in schools by allowing participants to engage in in-depth discussions and brainstorming of lesson plans through hands-on experience during a field study of Hakka landscapes and food culture.
III. The details of the aforementioned activity are as follows:
(I) Activity Time: April 13, 113 (2024) (Saturday), from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
(II) Meeting Point: National Tsing Hua University (specific location will be provided in pre-event notification).
(III) Activity Content:
1. Hakka landscape exploration.
2. In-depth guided tour of traditional Hakka kitchens (Huofang).
3. Handmade Hakka rice cakes.
4. Food and agriculture lesson plan experience and discussion: "KIST Emei Junior High School - Modern Food and Agriculture Curriculum Guidance (Patrolling the Fields)."

(V) This event's training hours will be registered by National Tsing Hua University on the Ministry of Education's National Teacher In-service Training Information Network. Participants who complete the entire event will receive 6 hours of training credit.
