Key Points for the 113th Academic Year National Student Music Competition

| Subject: | To inform you of the "Implementation Guidelines for the National Student Music Competition Academic Year 113" from the National Taiwan Arts Education Center, please be informed. |
| Explanation: |
| I. | In accordance with the letter from the National Taiwan Arts Education Center dated June 25, 113, with reference number 1130001884. |
| II. | The main points of revision for the aforementioned competition guidelines are as follows: |
| (1) | For the "Harmonica Solo" category in individual events, only diatonic harmonicas are permitted; chromatic harmonicas may be used for the selected piece. |
| (2) | It is stipulated that filming and recording at the competition venue shall not capture the performances of other participating teams (individuals) and must comply with copyright law and civil personal rights (portrait rights) regulations. If participating teams (individuals) publicly share or upload video and audio recordings of their performances to video platforms, they must comply with the aforementioned relevant legal regulations before doing so. |
| (3) | Entry and exit from the venue during performances, or movement within the audience seating area, are not permitted. |
| III. | The scheduled dates for the finals of this competition are as follows: |
| (1) | Group events (Northern, Central, Southern regions): To be held from March 1, 114. |
| (2) | Individual events: To be held from March 15, 114. |
| (3) | The overall period for the finals of this competition, following past practice, will be from March 1st to March 31st of the current year (including both group and individual events). The confirmed dates and schedule for the finals of this academic year will be announced on the official website of this competition before January 15, 114. |
| IV. | This competition is relevant to the weighting of performance in the exemption from entrance examinations and applications for admission based on competition performance. To protect the rights and interests of student participants, please consider the schedule of the finals of this competition when planning other event timelines, in order to avoid and reduce conflicts between the schedule of this competition and other events. |
| V. | The implementation guidelines for the aforementioned competition are also announced on the National Student Music Competition website (https://web.arte.gov.tw/music/). |
