Transmitting the syllabus for the Ministry of Education's "114 Academic Year School Environmental Education Practical Competition"

Description:  
I. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. 1142701979 dated June 25, 114.
II. To implement the National Environmental Education Framework and the learning plans for integrating environmental education into the 12-year Basic Education Curriculum Guidelines, promote school environmental actions, and achieve the goal of net-zero green campuses, the aforementioned competition is organized.
III. The key points of the competition are as follows:
(1) Participants: Elementary school group (students in grades 4-6), Junior high school group (students in grades 7-9).
(2) Practical Competition Format: Using the five major learning themes under environmental education – "Environmental Ethics, Sustainable Development, Climate Change, Disaster Prevention and Response, and Sustainable Use of Energy and Resources" – as the main focus for competition entries. The aim is to seek solutions to environmental problems and demonstrate practical applications and promotion through environmental actions or the creation of works.
(3) Review Method and Awards: The Ministry of Education will form a review committee for selection, divided into preliminary and final review stages. For each group, the top 3 winners (1st place: 1 winner, 2nd place: 2 winners, 3rd place: 3 winners), several honorable mentions, merit awards, and teacher cultivation awards will be selected, along with 3 county/city group awards.
(4) Special Awards: The Ministry of the Environment will establish "Environmental Education Innovation Special Awards" (1 winner for each of the elementary and junior high school groups) and "Resource Circulation Special Awards" (2 winners for each of the elementary and junior high school groups), encouraging teachers and students to demonstrate net-zero and sustainable knowledge and innovative actions, and to practice the concept of resource circulation and zero waste.
(5) Schedule: The preliminary review submission period is from October 13 to November 13, 114, conducted through written review. The final review is expected to be held in March 115, through on-site presentations.
