"115th Environmental Education Personnel Certification Renewal and Teacher Environmental Education Empowerment Workshop 'Tide Towards the Secret Realm ~ Heping Island' Outdoor Experience Activity"

The bureau has scheduled the "2026 Environmental Education Personnel Certification Renewal and Teacher Environmental Education Enhancement Workshop 'Towards the Secret Realm ~ Heping Island' Outdoor Experience Activity" on June 18, 2027 (Thursday). We kindly request your school to encourage its faculty and staff to actively register and participate. Please be informed.

Details:

1.	The purpose of this event is to enhance teachers' environmental awareness and sensitivity, identify environmental issues, and improve their environmental education teaching skills through outdoor experience activities and workshops.

2.	Event information is as follows:

(1)	Date and Time: June 18, 2027 (Thursday), 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

(2)	Location: Heping Island, Keelung City.

(3)	Course Theme: To guide participants in exploring the intertidal zone ecosystem, visiting Heping Island, and understanding how its residents make a living from the sea, thereby contemplating the relationship between humans and the ocean.

Target Audience: Faculty and staff of all levels of schools in this city. Priority will be given to faculty and staff who have obtained environmental education personnel certification, as this event is a renewal workshop for such certification. Limited to 35 participants, on a first-come, first-served basis.

(5)	Assembly Point: Please gather at Guanyin Junior High School by 7:20 AM on the day of the event (park cars along the outer walls of the school). As the journey is a bit far, departure will be strictly at 7:30 AM. Latecomers will not be accommodated.

(6)	Registration Method:

1.	Please complete your registration via Google Forms by the end of the workday on June 5, 2027 (Friday): https://forms.gle/pbbH7ob1nQzfGYMb6.

2.	After completing the online registration via the Google Form, please also register under Guanyin Junior High School in the city's Teacher Education Development Resource System (https://drp.tyc.edu.tw/TYDRP/Index.aspx) to facilitate the issuance of teacher training hours.

3.	The organizer will send a confirmation email for successful registration by June 8, 2027. Please check your email for the confirmation.

(7)	Training Hours: Participants who complete the entire program will be granted 6 hours of environmental education personnel certification renewal training. Those without environmental education personnel certification will be granted 6 hours of environmental education training.

(8)	Leave of Absence: Participants and staff attending this event will be granted official (business) leave by their respective schools, provided that they arrange their own teaching duties and do not claim substitute teacher fees.
