Student Affairs Announcement

「The 14th Wu Cheng Xiu Yu Ms. Black Tide Scholarship」Call for Applications

{{ $t('FEZ002') }} Office of Student Affairs|

I.Taiwan, surrounded by the sea, has a geography and marine environment that blend to shape the island's rich ecology and culture. To encourage students and the general public to actively initiate and participate in marine affairs, since 2013, writer Wu Ming-yi and his mother, Ms. Wu Zheng Xiu-yu, have each year sponsored NT$100,000 to establish the "Ms. Wu Zheng Xiu-yu Kuroshio Grant," which continues to encourage and support various research and creative endeavors with "the ocean as the theme."
II.This grant is divided into four major categories: "Marine Science Research," "Marine Conservation Activities," "Marine Art Creation," and "Marine Project Science Exhibition." We hope that the expertise and creativity of every islander will allow the rich layers of the ocean to be seen and understood by more people.
III.Applications for this call for proposals are open from now until October 9, 2026 (Friday). Projects can be entirely new or already in progress. For information on the application guidelines and frequently asked questions about the grant, please visit the Kuroshio Marine Education Foundation website to inquire or download the application form (https://reurl.cc/Wzvx4x).
IV.We kindly request your esteemed institution to assist in posting this information on the school's homepage or forwarding it to the relevant departments, encouraging teachers and students interested in marine-related issues to form teams or participate individually.
