Description: 
I.In accordance with the letter from the National Taiwan Normal University Affiliated Senior High School dated September 17, 2027, Ref: Fu Jiao Zi No. 1150012067, and the work plan of the Home Economics Subject Center and the Inquiry and Practice Curriculum North District Promotion Center for General Senior High Schools of the Ministry of Education.
II.To enhance teachers' professional knowledge of climate change issues, improve their teaching design and practical application skills, and assist teachers in integrating climate change-related knowledge into curriculum teaching through lectures, practical exercises, and exchange of experiences, thereby improving teaching quality and learning outcomes.
III.Workshop series schedule:
(1)Workshop 1: Adapting to Life in a Heatwave - What to Wear?
1.Date: Saturday, October 17, 2027, from 8:50 AM to 12:50 PM.
2.Location: Tainan Girls' Senior High School.
3.Introduction: How to understand the fabric fibers and structural composition, and then know the principles and testing of moisture wicking, breathability, and heat insulation. At the same time, further consider how to guide students to choose suitable clothing for different weather, environments, and activity needs.
(2)Workshop 2: Adapting to Life in a Heatwave - What to Eat?
1.Date: Saturday, November 7, 2027, from 9:00 AM to 12:50 PM.
2.Location: Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School.
3.Introduction: Starting from wild vegetables and native Taiwanese plants, combined with indigenous foraging wisdom and the concept of "future food," guide students to think about local ingredients and dietary choices that are environmentally resilient under high temperatures and extreme weather.
(3)Workshops 3 & 4: Scientific Inquiry in a Heatwave.
1.NTNU Affiliated High School Session:
(1)Date: Tuesday, November 10, 2027, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
(2)Location: National Taiwan Normal University Affiliated Senior High School.
2.Changhua Girls' High School Session:
(1)Date: Wednesday, December 2, 2027, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
(2)Location: National Changhua Girls' Senior High School.
3.Introduction: Starting from daily life issues such as high temperature warnings, campus environment observation, and moisture-wicking clothing, through data analysis and scientific practice, guide teachers to transform high temperature issues into observable, question-provoking, and practical inquiry topics that can be integrated into high school inquiry and practice courses.
(4)Detailed course information and registration methods are as detailed in the attached implementation plan.
IV.This training case has been officially notified to all senior high schools in this city. This letter is forwarded to all public and private elementary and junior high schools in this city. Please inform your teachers to participate, and please grant participating teachers official (business) leave.
V.Attached is 1 copy of the implementation plan for this case.
