| Subject: | To inform you that the Ministry of Education has scheduled an online briefing session for the "116th Year Smart Net-Zero Sustainable Campus Promotion Plan" on October 28, 115. Please refer to the details for your reference. |
| Details: |
| 1. | Based on the Ministry of Education's letter dated October 1, 115, Ref: T.E.C. (6) No. 1152702994. |
| 2. | In response to Taiwan's 2050 Net-Zero Emission Policy, the Ministry of Education continues to implement the Smart Net-Zero Sustainable Campus Promotion Plan, with a three-stage framework of "Exploration, Practice, and Demonstration." The foundational campus plans include the "Foundational Campus Autonomous Sustainable Exploration Plan" and the "Foundational Campus Sustainable Practice Plan." The demonstration campus plan is the "Demonstration Sustainable Campus Renovation Plan." Through strategies such as campus carbon management, smart environmental monitoring, and sustainable practices, schools are guided to progressively promote net-zero transformation, enhance energy saving and carbon reduction effectiveness, and gradually build smart net-zero sustainable campuses with local characteristics and demonstration diffusion benefits. The key points of each plan are as follows: |
| 3. | Application Period: |
| (1) | Online application is accepted from October 28, 115, to November 30, 115. |
| (2) | Eligible Participants: All public and private schools at all levels nationwide (excluding kindergartens). |
| (3) | Application Categories: |
| 1. | Foundational Campus Plans |
| (1) | Foundational Campus Autonomous Sustainable Exploration Plan (hereinafter referred to as the Foundational Plan): |
| A. | Partial subsidy is provided, with a maximum subsidy of NT$150,000 in operating expenses (including campus inventory costs) and NT$50,000 in capital expenses (primarily for smart monitoring equipment, with carbon reduction equipment as supplementary) per school. |
| B. | The Foundational Plan should be based on campus environmental inventory, carbon footprint analysis, and sustainability review to identify campus resources and local characteristics, collect environmental and energy data, develop a school-wide net-zero sustainability pathway, school-based curriculum, and campus development blueprint. This will serve as the basis for promoting energy saving, carbon reduction, and net-zero transformation, gradually implementing campus sustainable governance and net-zero transition. |
| (2) | Foundational Campus Sustainable Practice Plan (hereinafter referred to as the Foundational Practice Plan): |
| A. | Partial subsidy is provided. In the first phase, the maximum subsidy is NT$100,000 in operating expenses (including preliminary planning costs) per school. Schools whose planning results are approved in the first phase will be selected for subsidies in the second phase for operational expenses (operating expenses) and investment equipment (capital expenses), with a maximum subsidy of NT$100,000 in operating expenses and NT$1,500,000 in capital expenses per school. |
| B. | The Foundational Practice Plan should focus on campus low-carbon practices and environmental renovation. Through an inventory of the current environmental situation, energy management, and smart monitoring mechanisms, it aims to grasp campus carbon emissions and reduction potential. Based on the school's development needs, systematic carbon reduction strategies for single or multiple themes will be developed to establish campus sustainable practice models with local characteristics, gradually achieving net-zero transformation and enhancing energy saving and carbon reduction effectiveness. |
| 2. | Demonstration Campus Plan |
| (1) | Demonstration Sustainable Campus Renovation Plan (hereinafter referred to as the Demonstration Plan): |
| A. | Partial subsidy is provided. In the first phase, the maximum subsidy is NT$100,000 in operating expenses (including preliminary planning costs) per school. Schools whose planning results are approved in the first phase will be selected for subsidies in the second phase for operational expenses (operating expenses) and investment equipment (capital expenses), with a maximum subsidy of NT$100,000 in operating expenses and NT$6,000,000 in capital expenses per school. |
| B. | The Demonstration Plan should focus on campus and surrounding environmental issues tailored to local conditions. Through the construction of innovative hardware facilities, smart monitoring, and data management mechanisms, it will promote integrated improvement measures such as energy saving, carbon reduction, resource recycling, ecological environment, and healthy campuses. By combining campus characteristics with curriculum and teaching, it will build a net-zero sustainable campus model with demonstration benefits, diffusion value, and local characteristics. |
| 4. | This briefing session requires online registration. Those who need training hours should register on the National In-service Teacher Training Information Network (Course Name: Ministry of Education 116th Year Smart Net-Zero Sustainable Campus Promotion Plan Briefing Session; Course Code: 5756887).
