I. The Taoyuan City Government (hereinafter referred to as "the Government") hereby establishes these Key Points to subsidize the tuition fees for economically disadvantaged students in this city.
II. The subsidy recipients are students enrolled in public or private elementary and junior high schools in this city who are registered residents of this city and meet one of the following qualifications:
(1) Students from low-income or middle-low-income households registered with the Government.
(2) Students experiencing significant family hardship.
(3) Students from impoverished families whose homeroom teacher deems them in need of assistance with their tuition fees.

2. For students in the 2nd, 4th, and 6th grades of elementary school, NT$800 will be subsidized for both the first and second semesters.
3. For students in the 7th grade of junior high school, NT$3,500 will be subsidized for the first semester;

4. For students in the 8th and 9th grades of junior high school, NT$1,500 will be subsidized for both the first and second semesters.
IV. Students meeting the requirements in Article II shall, within two weeks after the start of the semester, have their parents fill out an application form, attach relevant supporting documents or the homeroom teacher's signed opinion, and submit it to the school for review.
The school shall establish a review committee composed of the principal, directors, representatives of administrative staff, teacher representatives, and parent representatives, convened by the Director of Academic Affairs, to review the identity and circumstances of the subsidized students.
The school shall compile a list of eligible students by grade, from lowest to highest, for receipt of subsidies. Private schools shall submit the original list to the Government for approval within the prescribed period, and retain duplicates for record-keeping.
