Description:

1. In accordance with the Hakka Affairs Council's letters No. 1086100640 dated May 6, 2019, and No. 1086100699 dated May 10, 2019.

2. The key points of the aforementioned competition implementation plan are summarized as follows:

(1) Competition Time and Host School:

1. Northern Preliminary Round: Held on October 19, 2019 (Saturday), hosted by Jilin Elementary School, Zhongshan District, Taipei City.

2. Grand Finals (including awards ceremony): Held on November 16, 2019 (Saturday), hosted by Xinsheng Elementary School, Dongshi District, Taichung City.

(2) Registration Time and Method: All preliminary rounds and the grand finals will be registered online (Registration website: http://school.hakka.gov.tw). The registration deadline for all preliminary rounds is September 30, 2019 (Monday).

(3) The administrative fees for the Hakka singing and performance category have been adjusted as follows:

1. Preliminary Round: The administrative fee for one participating group per school is NT$8,000 (hereinafter referred to as the same); for two or more participating groups per school, an additional NT$1,500 will be charged for each additional group.

2. Grand Finals: The administrative fee for one participating group per school is NT$4,000; for two or more participating groups per school, an additional NT$750 will be charged for each additional group.

3. This bureau agrees to grant official (business) leave to the participating personnel. As the competition falls on a weekend, participating teachers may take compensatory leave within one year after the competition, provided that their teaching duties are covered and they do not claim overtime pay for substitute teachers.

Attached are the minutes of the 2018 "National Primary and Secondary School Hakka Arts and Culture Competition" Review Meeting and the 2019 "National Primary and Secondary School Hakka Arts and Culture Competition" Preparatory Meeting, as well as the Hakka Affairs Council's 2019 National Primary and Secondary School Hakka Arts and Culture Competition Implementation Plan, each in one copy.
