Description:

1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letters dated May 9, 108 (Tai Jiao Zong (II) Zi Di 1080066602A) and July 1, 108 (Tai Jiao Guo Shu Guo Zi Di 1080074001).

2. To commend and reward teachers from public and registered private senior high schools and below (hereinafter referred to as "schools") nationwide for integrating marine education issues into various subject teachings, and to encourage teachers to form inter-school and interdisciplinary professional learning communities for innovative interdisciplinary marine education thematic teaching, in order to transform learning styles and improve learning quality, this selection implementation plan (as attached) is hereby formulated to inspire outstanding teachers and consolidate the cohesion of excellent teams.

3. The key points of the aforementioned implementation plan are as follows (please refer to the attachment for details):

(1) Participants: Teams from public and private senior high schools and below nationwide. Each school is limited to 1 team (inter-school teams are not subject to this limit). Each team should consist of 3 or more teachers (up to a maximum of 6).

(2) Categories: Divided into three groups: elementary school group, junior high school group, and senior high school/vocational group. Each group will be evaluated separately.

(3) Application Method:

1. Recommendation by the Education Bureau (Department) of Municipalities and Counties (Cities): For elementary schools, junior high schools, and senior high schools under the jurisdiction of the Education Bureaus (Departments) of municipalities and counties (cities), the competent authority shall recommend 1 to 5 teams for each group (elementary school group, junior high school group, senior high school/vocational group) respectively (inter-school teams cannot be recommended).

2. Self-recommendation:

(1) Teacher teams from national senior high schools/vocational schools and private senior high schools and below can register by mail with the application form (each school is limited to 1 team). Elementary schools, junior high schools, and senior high schools under the jurisdiction of the Education Bureaus (Departments) of municipalities and counties (cities) are not allowed to self-recommend.

(2) Inter-school teams must apply by self-recommendation (each team should consist of 2 or more schools of the same level).

(4) The application deadline is August 14, 108.

4. Please submit the application form and relevant documents (hard copy and CD) by mail to the Taiwan Marine Education Center, National Taiwan Ocean University (3rd Floor, General Building 3, No. 2, Beining Road, Zhongzheng District, Keelung City) by the deadline of August 14, starting from today, for recommendations or self-recommendations.
