Description:
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's letter No. 1080130455 dated November 13, 2019.
2. To enhance the professional knowledge of elementary school teachers in remedial mathematics instruction, the Department has planned this workshop. The aim is to strengthen students' interest in and understanding of mathematics through simple, foundational, and clear teaching materials and strategies.
3. The participants, curriculum, and sessions of the aforementioned workshop are as follows:
(1) Participants: Priority will be given to current teachers in public elementary schools (including national schools) who have completed remedial teaching hours and are currently teaching remedial courses at their schools.
(2) Curriculum and Sessions:
1. Tainan Session - Ratios, Proportions, and Problem Solving: December 7, 2019 (Saturday) from 8:30 AM at J106 Lecture Hall, 1st Floor, Wenhui Building, National Tainan University (No. 33, Sec. 2, Shulin St., West Central Dist., Tainan City).
2. Taichung Session - Factors, Multiples, Ratios, and Proportions: December 21, 2019 (Saturday) from 8:30 AM at the 2nd Floor Lecture Hall, Taichung City West District Zhongzheng Elementary School (No. 423, Yingcai Rd., West Dist., Taichung City).
(3) Each session is limited to 100 participants due to venue capacity, on a first-come, first-served basis. Please refer to the workshop plan for detailed information.
4. Attached is one copy of the "Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Elementary School Mathematics Student Learning Support Teaching Materials Workshop Plan - Ratios, Proportions, Problem Solving, and Factors, Multiples."
