Description:
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's letter No. 1090056463 dated May 19, 2020.
2. To encourage outstanding formal teachers with competency-based teaching skills to engage in teaching demonstrations at schools, and to assist teachers in capacity building through workshops or training sessions, thereby enhancing teaching exchange and experience sharing among elementary and junior high school teachers nationwide, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is organizing the aforementioned selection process. The relevant details are summarized as follows:
(1) Service period: From August 1, 2020, to July 31, 2021.
(2) Eligibility: Currently employed qualified teachers in senior high schools, junior high schools, or elementary schools.
(3) Application method: From now until June 24, 2020 (Wednesday), submit written review materials and the application form to Ms. Fan Chun-hsiang, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Taipei Office (5th Floor, No. 48-1, Xuzhou Road, Taipei City 10055. The postmark will be the basis for timeliness; late submissions will not be accepted).
(4) Selection criteria:
1. Possess professional counseling skills in developing and promoting interdisciplinary competency-based teaching (including subject knowledge, curriculum design and materials, teaching methods, etc.).
2. Ability to lead professional learning communities for teachers.
3. Personal qualities such as enthusiasm for service, willingness to interact with people, good communication skills, reflective thinking, rational thinking, and a willingness to cooperate in a team.
4. Ability to use digital tools for online courses and online collaborative preparation.
(5) Selection method: Written review (30%) and interview (70%). A total score of 100 points. Scores below 80 will not be considered for admission.
(6) Selection date: After the written review, outstanding candidates will be notified individually by phone for an interview.
3. To prevent teachers from being affected by their roles as project teachers in school affairs, please communicate with your service school before applying. Upon the principal's approval, project teachers will be exempt from administrative and homeroom teacher duties during their service year. The expenses for reduced teaching load will be subsidized by the project funds from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
