110th National Advanced Secondary and Below Schools Cross-National Transfer Student Education Basic Administrative Knowledge and Teacher Training Program for the Winter Break

To inform you that the Ministry of Education's National Academy for Educational Research has commissioned National Kaohsiung Normal University to organize the "2021 Winter National In-service Training Program for Junior and Senior High School Students Transferring Across Borders: Basic Administrative Knowledge and Teacher Training Program." Please acknowledge receipt.

Explanation:

I.	In accordance with the "National Academy for Educational Research, Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as NAER), Letter No. 1090154998, dated December 11, 2020."

II.

To assist school administrative staff and teachers in effectively placing students who transfer across borders into appropriate grade levels based on their country of origin, language and cultural background, previous educational background, current learning needs, and corresponding academic abilities. The NAER is organizing the aforementioned training program to provide professional Mandarin Chinese acquisition planning through mixed-mode teaching, customized assessments, counseling, family support, and individual learning experiences, thereby establishing a long-term and stable teaching and administrative support system.

III.	The details of the aforementioned training are as follows:

(1)	Time: January 27-28, 2021, for a total of 2 days. Participants who complete the entire program will receive 16 hours of in-service training credit.

(2)	Location: Creative Sharing Hall, 1F, i-Reading Hall, National Kaohsiung Normal University (No. 116, Heping 1st Road, Lingya District, Kaohsiung City).

(3)	Target Audience:

1.	Administrative staff or teachers in junior and senior high schools.

2.	Substitute teachers with a valid teaching license.

3.	Mandarin Chinese teachers with a "Ministry of Education Certificate for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language" or those who have participated in Mandarin Chinese teacher training and have teaching experience.

(4)	Transportation and Accommodation: This training program provides meals only, not accommodation. Please apply for accommodation and travel expenses from your original service unit in accordance with regulations.

(5)	Registration Period and Method:

1.	Registration Period: From now until January 17, 2021.

2.	Teachers and educational administrators should register directly on the "In-service Teacher Education Network" (https://www1.inservice.edu.tw/) with the training code 2983559.

3.	Individuals who are not teachers should fill out the registration information on the Google Form: https://forms.gle/xQP8JLdWpTZ1CA1C6.

IV.	Participants are requested to diligently monitor their health, wash hands frequently, wear masks, and practice respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette.

V.	The aforementioned program is announced on the "Cross-Border Transfer Student Education Network - Activity Information" website (https://tkids.nknu.edu.tw/). Those interested in participating can download the program details from the website.

VI.	This bureau approves that school personnel attending the training program, with the school's consent, will be granted official leave (business leave) registration.
