New Taipei City 2021 Professional English Listening, Dictation, and Vocabulary Competition (Teacher Session) Classroom and Campus Professional English Briefing Implementation Plan" and "New Taipei City 2021 Professional English Listening, Dictation, and Vocabulary Competition Implementation Plan

Subject: Attached are the "Implementation Plan for the New Taipei City 2021 Professional English Listening, Dictation, and Vocabulary Competition (Teacher Session) Classroom and Campus Professional English Briefing Session" and the "Implementation Plan for the New Taipei City 2021 Professional English Listening, Dictation, and Vocabulary Competition" (hereinafter referred to as the English Elite Cup), one copy each. Please assist in notifying teachers in your school to actively register and participate. Please acknowledge receipt.
Explanation:  
I. In accordance with the letter from the New Taipei City Government Education Bureau dated December 24, 109 (2020), No. 10924668931.
II. To encourage teachers to participate actively, there is no registration or testing fee for this competition. The competition exam will be conducted using an online instant testing and evaluation method.
III. The details of the aforementioned teacher training are as follows:
(1) Training Time: January 5, 110 (Tuesday), from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
(2) Training Topic: Developing Professional English Curriculum for Vocational Fields, Effective Learning and Practice of Professional English (AI Artificial Intelligence).
(3) Training Location: Computer Classroom 209, College of Science and Technology and Engineering Building, Library Campus, National Taiwan Normal University. (Address: No. 129, Section 1, Heping East Road, Da'an District, Taipei City).
(4) Target Audience: Teachers, intern teachers, or substitute teachers teaching in junior high schools, senior high schools, vocational high schools, and universities/colleges in New Taipei City, Taipei City, Keelung City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County/City, Yilan County, and Hualien County/City.
(5) Registration Method: Online registration, from now until January 4 (Monday).

IV. The details of the aforementioned English Elite Cup competition are as follows:
(1) Competition Time: April 10, 110 (Saturday). If there are any changes, the announcement on the event website will prevail.
(2) Competition Location: San Chong Commercial and Industrial Vocational High School, New Taipei City (Address: No. 163, Zhongzheng North Road, Sanchong District, New Taipei City).
(3) Participants: University/college students enrolled in New Taipei City, Taipei City, Keelung City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County/City, Yilan County, and Hualien County/City, as well as teachers, intern teachers, or substitute teachers teaching in junior high schools, senior high schools, vocational high schools, and universities/colleges in New Taipei City, Taipei City, Keelung City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County/City, Yilan County, and Hualien County/City.
(4) Competition Content: Divided into "Professional English Listening and Dictation Ability," "Professional English Vocabulary," and "General English Vocabulary" categories.
1. Professional English Listening and Dictation Ability: The junior high school group will focus on "Practical English" listening comprehension, with topics related to daily life such as food, clothing, housing, transportation, entertainment, etc.; other groups will focus on "Workplace and Life Application" listening comprehension.
2. Professional English Vocabulary: Includes "Education," "Medicine and Nursing," "Food and Beverage," "Tourism," "Information Technology," "Electrical and Electronic Engineering," "Automotive Industry," "Business and Management," "Mechanical Industry," "Digital Media Design," "Beauty and Makeup," "Artificial Intelligence," "Esports," and newly added "Life and Workplace ELW" for "Career Exploration (General Category)," "Fashion Apparel," "Civil Engineering and Construction," "Medical and Health Care," and "Early Childhood Care," totaling 18 major categories.
3. General English Vocabulary: Primarily references and collects vocabulary lists announced by domestic institutions (Ministry of Education, various testing centers), as well as references from equivalent educational levels (junior high, senior high, vocational high school) or testing centers in other countries. Divided into three groups:
(1) Senior High School General English Vocabulary Group (approximately 6,000 words).
(2) Vocational High School General English Vocabulary Group (approximately 4,000 words).
(3) Junior High School General English Vocabulary Group (approximately 2,000 words).
