Academic Year 111 "Teaching Visiting Scholar Program"

Subject: Regarding the "Teaching Visiting Teacher Program" for the 111 academic year organized by the Ministry of Education's National Academy for Educational Research (hereinafter referred to as the NAER), please be informed.
Explanation:  
I. In accordance with the NAER's letter dated November 25, 110, No. 臺教國署國字第1100154957, this is for your reference.
II. To enhance teaching exchange and experience sharing between general and remote public elementary and junior high schools (hereinafter referred to as remote schools), the NAER has specifically established the aforementioned program to encourage outstanding formal teachers from non-remote schools to engage in teaching visits in remote schools, thereby improving the inheritance of teaching experience and educational innovation in remote schools.
III. Information regarding the aforementioned program is as follows:
(1) Period: From August 1, 111, to July 31, 112. Applications for formal teachers from non-remote schools to serve as teaching visiting teachers in remote schools for the 111 academic year are accepted from now until March 31, 111.
(2) Eligibility for Teaching Visiting Teacher Application:
1. Formal teachers currently employed in non-remote schools with a total of 6 or more years of formal teaching experience, or retired teachers from public elementary and junior high schools.
2. Those who meet the aforementioned conditions and satisfy one of the following criteria may apply:
(1) Recipients of awards for excellence in curriculum and teaching or outstanding performance in promoting curriculum and teaching related work organized by national, municipal, or county/city governments, or private organizations, such as the National Teacher Excellence Award, SUPER/POWER Teacher Award, Special Outstanding Teacher Award, Reading Cornerstone Award, Reading Teacher Award, and other curriculum and teaching competition awards or outstanding performance in related work.
(2) Individuals who have served as members of the national curriculum and teaching consultation team or municipal/county/city elementary education consultation groups for 2 or more years.
(3) Holders of teaching mentor qualifications and have actually mentored 2 or more teachers.
(4) Possess educational philosophy and passion, have outstanding teaching achievements, and are recommended by the municipal or county/city government.
(3) Awards and Subsidies:
1. Teaching Visiting Teacher:
(1) Subsidy for transportation expenses.
(2) Those who serve continuously for 2 academic years and are selected for outstanding performance may be subsidized for overseas school visits. If they have already received one subsidy for an overseas school visit and continue to serve for another academic year (totaling 3 consecutive academic years) and are selected for outstanding performance, they may be granted official leave and a 50% subsidy for a second overseas school visit.
2. Original schools of teaching visiting teachers: Subsidy for the cost of hiring substitute teachers and funding for curriculum and teaching development.
(4) Application Process:
1. Host Schools: Eligible host schools shall obtain consensus from all teachers and submit an application form for host schools (Attachment 1) to the designated program team of the NAER within the period specified by the NAER.
2. Teaching Visiting Teachers: Those interested in serving as teaching visiting teachers should submit relevant forms and supporting documents within the period specified by the NAER:
(1) Formal teachers from non-remote schools: Complete the "Teaching Visiting Teacher Application Form" and submit it to our bureau for compilation and forwarding to the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, which is commissioned by the NAER, for application.
(2) Retired teachers from public elementary and junior high schools: Complete the "Teaching Visiting Teacher Application Form" and submit it directly to the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism for application.
(5) Schools or teachers wishing to apply should submit their applications to our bureau from now until March 14, 110 (Monday), so that we can compile them and forward them to the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, which is commissioned by the NAER.
