| 1. | In accordance with the official letter from National Taiwan Normal University dated July 12, 2022, ref: 1111018807. |
| 2. | The purpose of this competition is to design teaching modules by integrating concepts of "sustainable development, international connectivity, technological innovation, lifestyle transformation, and resilient adaptation," combined with the global trend of "Net Zero Emissions by 2050" and interdisciplinary collaboration, to enhance the climate change teaching capabilities of high school, junior high, and elementary school teachers in Taiwan. |
| 3. | The design concepts and principles for the teaching modules in this competition are to set "climate change" as the overall theme, with "Net Zero Emissions by 2050" as the core, guided by "sustainable development," and in conjunction with the "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs). The modules should incorporate strategies for climate change mitigation and adaptation. |
| 4. | Information regarding the competition schedule, participants, and entry methods is as follows: |
| (1) | Registration Method: All registrations for this event must be submitted via email. Please refer to the prospectus (attached) for detailed instructions. |
| (2) | Registration Deadline: Before 23:59 on July 26, 2022. |
| (3) | Submission Deadline for Works: Before 23:59 on September 10, 2022. |
| (4) | Eligible Participants: In-service teachers from senior high schools (including vocational and technical high schools), junior high schools, and elementary schools. |
| (5) | Entry Method and Product Specifications: Teams shall consist of 3 to 5 teachers (each teacher may only participate in one team). Teams can be formed across schools. Each participating team shall submit one teaching module with "climate change" as the core theme, including three to four teaching units (lesson plans). |
| (6) | Judging Criteria: Relevance to climate change (40%), accuracy of content related to climate change in relevant subjects (science, social studies, mathematics, etc.) (20%), interdisciplinary integration and feasibility of teaching execution of the module (20%), and alignment with the core concepts of this event: "sustainable development, international connectivity, technological innovation, lifestyle transformation, and resilient adaptation" (20%), totaling 100%. |
| (7) | Date of Announcement of Award Results: September 30, 2022. |
| (8) | Awards (Number of winners and prizes): Awards will be given to participating teams. The top three teams will receive NT$100,000, NT$50,000, and NT$30,000 respectively. In addition, three honorable mentions will each receive NT$12,000. The final award results will be determined by the review committee, who may decide not to award any prizes. |
