Subject: Forwarding the "Cool English Vocabulary King" competition guidelines for 115 academic year, organized by National Taiwan Normal University on behalf of the Ministry of Education's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Department"). Details:
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's official letter dated August 11, 115, No. 1155503852.
2. To assist elementary and junior high school students in building a solid foundation in English vocabulary, the Department's "Cool English" online learning platform has established "Thematic Vocabulary Learning" and "Vocabulary Practice Workshop" sections. These sections are designed with everyday themes and fun exercises for different learning stages, helping students accumulate English vocabulary and improve their daily application skills. Therefore, the "Cool English Vocabulary King" competition is organized to encourage students to utilize platform resources and consolidate their vocabulary foundation through diverse scenarios and thematic practice.
3. Participants: All public and private elementary school students in grades 3-6 (Elementary Group) and junior high school students in grades 7-9 (Junior High Group) nationwide. Each group is further divided into a regular area school group and a remote area school group (the remote area school group is defined according to the Ministry of Education's "List of Remote Elementary and Junior High Schools" for the 114 academic year, including remote, very remote, and extremely remote types of schools).
4. Registration/Answering Period: From Thursday, September 17, 115, to Friday, October 30, 115. The competition adopts a "register first, then answer" system. Participants must accurately complete the registration form before they can access the answering section (the end time of the event will be based on the last answering time displayed on the platform's website).
5. Starting from the 114 academic year, the Department has added a teacher incentive mechanism to all Cool English competitions organized by National Taiwan Normal University. Teachers who lead a group of students to register and meet the standards set in the competition guidelines will be awarded. Please encourage teachers to actively lead students in group registration for the competition. Additionally, please encourage students to log in to the platform using their Education Cloud accounts to participate in the competition, allowing students to use a single account to access and learn on multiple online learning platforms.
