"Taiwan e-Learning and Digital Book Association X Google 2024 Teacher Training on Child Online Safety and Prevention of Online Child Sexual Exploitation"

I. The Taiwan e-Learning and Digital Book Association and Google are jointly organizing the 2024 Teacher Training on Child Online Safety and Prevention of Online Child Sexual Exploitation. The content covers online safety, digital citizenship, identification and prevention of online child sexual exploitation, practical digital literacy lesson plan sharing, and the application of digital teaching tools. The aim is to assist junior high school teachers in effectively utilizing digital tools and resources to cultivate students' critical thinking skills in digital literacy and online safety.
II. Event Dates: Basic Level: April 11, 2024 (Thursday), 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM. Advanced Level: April 25, 2024 (Thursday), 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM.

Description:
I. In accordance with the "Letter from the Department of Information and Technology Education, Taipei City Government, dated February 17, 113 (2024), Ref: TCDE-IT-11330396012."
II. The aforementioned competition is divided into two categories: Intelligent Group Robots and Humanoid Robots. The Humanoid Robot category is open for registration to all levels of elementary and secondary schools nationwide. Key information regarding the "Humanoid Robot" competition category is summarized as follows:

"Promoting Digital Learning Improvement Plan for Elementary and Secondary Schools - Digital Cultural Resources Service and Teaching Promotion Project - Digital Lesson Plan Promotion and Teaching Online Workshop"

Description:
I. The "Promoting Digital Learning Improvement Plan for Elementary and Secondary Schools" by the Ministry of Education adopts a public-private partnership to develop digital content. Our university's Center for Innovation and Creativity Research has been commissioned by the Ministry of Education to undertake the "Digital Cultural Resources Service and Teaching Promotion Project" (hereinafter referred to as "this project") to assist in the development of digital teaching materials.
II. Event Objectives: To introduce the objectives and achievements of this project, promote the social studies digital curriculum and interdisciplinary digital curriculum content developed this year, and share the process of collaborative lesson plan development and the design concepts of each lesson plan. National Museum of Natural Science is organizing the "Water Clock Tower" Dynamics and Mechanical Structure Maker Course Teacher Experience Sharing and Exchange Activity.

"2023-2024 Robofest World Robot Competition Taiwan Selection"

I. The Robofest World Robot Competition is an international robotics competition recognized by NASA. Founded in 1999 by Lawrence Technological University in the United States, it has a history of 25 years. Participants will receive participation medals and certificates from Lawrence Technological University, as well as a participation certificate from the Youth Development Bureau of the Taoyuan City Government. Winners of the international competition may receive admission opportunities and scholarships from Lawrence Technological University.
II. The Robofest World Robot Competition involves participants from over 60 countries annually, including the United States, Canada, India, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea. In 2023, Taiwan achieved outstanding results by winning 4 first places in the world.

I. The "CCCE City Cup Digital Art and Esports Invitational Tournament" was founded by the Chinese Cultural Education Association and the Chinese Virtual Sports Association. To promote vocational competitions in the national esports industry and to "promote learning through competition," it aims to enhance the professional quality and innovative application abilities of esports athletes. This is the 5th edition since its inception in 2019.
