Announcement Compilation

To inform you that the Chinese Association for Textbook Research and Development is organizing the "Incentive for Textbook Research" and "Cross-disciplinary Curriculum Design Selection" activities. Please refer to the details in the explanation and take note.

Description:
1. In accordance with the letter No. Jiao Yan (Mi) Zi 1080401 from the Chinese Association for Educational Materials Research and Development, dated April 10, 2019.
2. In response to the new 12-year compulsory education curriculum which was implemented in the academic year 2019, the association, based on the philosophy of enhancing curriculum and teaching quality and in line with the competency-oriented spirit of the new curriculum, has planned related academic activities. The aim is to stimulate the thinking of frontline teachers, promote the development of teaching and learning, and align with global learning trends.
3. Activity information and dates are briefly as follows:
(1) Award for Textbook Research
1. Research Topic: Competency-oriented textbook design.
2. Participants: Bachelor's degree or above.
3. Application Period: Deadline May 31, 2019.
4. Research Period: July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020.
(2) Cross-disciplinary Curriculum Design Competition
1. Competition Topic: Development of cross-disciplinary curriculum design.
2. Participants: Current elementary and junior high school teachers, relevant academic or research institutions (teams are welcome).
3. Submission Period: Deadline August 30, 2019.
4. Presentation Date: November 23, 2019.
4. Attached are one copy each of the research plan for the award for textbook research and the competition plan for cross-disciplinary curriculum design.
