Announcement Compilation

To inform you that the Ministry of Education's National and Preschool Education Administration is organizing the "2nd Selection for New Members of the 108 Academic Year Central Curriculum and Teaching Consultation Teacher Team (hereinafter referred to as the Central Team)". Please be informed.

Description:
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's letter No. 1080065412 dated June 10, 2019.
2. Matters related to the selection of new team members are detailed in the brochure (Attachment 1), with the following highlights:
(1) Eligibility: Teachers must be qualified current teachers in elementary and junior high schools, with at least five years of teaching experience as a qualified teacher, and at least three years of experience as a part-time counselor in a municipal/county/city counseling group or at least two years of experience as a full-time counselor in a municipal/county/city counseling group. Those with special qualifications (e.g., power teachers) or conditions may have their years of service in municipal/county/city counseling groups shortened.
(2) Units that may recommend teachers for the central group to the Department:
1. Municipal Government Education Bureaus, County/City Governments.
2. The Department's counseling groups for each learning domain/group/issue.
3. Current central group teachers.
(3) Selection criteria:
1. Professional competence for serving as a central group teacher (understanding and interpreting educational policies, problem awareness and diagnostic skills, instructional supervision and evaluation skills, teaching innovation and research skills, organizational management and leadership skills, etc.).
2. Expertise in specialized subject areas (subject knowledge, familiarity with curriculum design and materials, teaching methods, etc.).
3. Personal qualities (enthusiasm for service, willingness to engage with people, good communication skills, reflective, rational thinking, and teamwork, etc.).
(4) Recommendation method:
1. Recommendation period: From now until June 19, 2019 (Wednesday). All recommendations must be submitted by mail (postmark as proof).
2. The Department will conduct an initial review to determine if the recommended personnel meet the basic qualifications. The results and subsequent selection matters will be announced on the "Ministry of Education National Elementary and Junior High School Curriculum and Teaching Resources Integration Platform CIRN" (hereinafter referred to as CIRN) before June 24, 2019 (Monday).
(5) Important schedule for selection process:
1. Selection date: June 26, 2019 (Wednesday) at Conference Room 4, 18th Floor, South Building, Central Joint Office Building (No. 5, Xuzhou Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City).
2. Announcement of results date: The list of selected and reserve candidates will be announced on CIRN before July 10, 2019 (Wednesday), and the official list of selected candidates will be notified by letter after July 15, 2019 (Monday).
(6) To prevent teachers' participation in central group affairs from affecting school matters, please communicate with your service school before applying. Only apply after obtaining the principal's consent and confirmation that you may be exempted from homeroom teacher duties for the academic year.
(7) The Department will appoint central group teachers based on the selection results and issue appointment letters. The appointment period is generally one academic year. The Department may extend the appointment based on the performance of each central group teacher, with each extension being for one academic year. Furthermore, for outstanding performance by central group teachers during their service, their respective school principals will also receive commendations.
(8) The initial team meeting for the 2019 academic year will be held from August 5, 2019 (Monday) to August 9, 2019 (Friday) at the Sanxia Campus of the National Academy for Educational Research. New central group members must attend the entire meeting; otherwise, they will not be appointed.
3. The operation of the central counseling group, as well as the rights, obligations, and evaluations of central group teachers, shall be handled in accordance with the "Key Points for the Establishment and Operation of the Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Central Curriculum and Teaching Counseling Consultant Teacher Team" (Attachment 2).
