To inform you that Xinming Elementary School in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City is organizing the 108th year "International Education Integration into Curriculum Teacher Learning Community Implementation Plan." Please sign up enthusiastically.

Description:
I. In accordance with the city's mid-term international education plan for 2017-2020 and the Taoyuan City Department of Education's letter No. 1080050489 dated June 17, 2019.
II. The aforementioned plan aims to promote the integration of international education into the curriculum of this city, assist schools in developing teacher professional learning communities based on their needs, and conduct experience sharing, observation, and outcome presentations for promoting international education, encouraging experience exchange and exemplary learning among communities.
III. The plan details are as follows:
(I) Sub-plan 1: "Teacher Learning Community" Application
1. Implementation Method: School teachers can form learning communities based on their needs, or jointly form them with teachers from neighboring schools. A single school will submit the application. The principle for the learning community is to integrate international education issues into the curriculum.
2. Subsidy Method: Each school will be subsidized for one community in principle. Each community must have at least 6 people, with a maximum subsidy of NT$20,000.
3. Implementation Period: From the approval of the application until December 2019.
4. Eligibility: Teachers from public elementary and junior high schools under the city.
5. Application Period: From now until August 30, 2019 (Friday). Please mail the relevant application documents directly to the Data Group, Counseling Office, Xinming Elementary School. Late submissions will not be accepted. Please refer to the attachment for document format.
6. Subsidized schools must participate in the "Outstanding Community Selection and Sharing Observation Workshop and Presentation" for the international education integration curriculum teacher learning community.
(II) Sub-plan 2: "Outstanding Community Selection and Sharing Observation Workshop and Presentation"
1. Participants: All communities that have applied for the "Teacher Learning Community Application" plan for integrating international education into the curriculum in 2019 must participate. Teachers from Taoyuan City's public elementary and junior high schools who are interested in international education can also register for the workshop (limited to 100 participants in principle).
2. Selection Method:
(1) Preliminary Evaluation: Please submit the registration form and written materials to the Xinming Elementary School Data Group by 4:00 PM on December 13, 2019 (Friday) for subsequent written evaluation to select outstanding teams for the final evaluation. Email address:gennie6611@ms.tyc.edu.com
(2) Final Evaluation: A group presentation evaluation is scheduled for January 8, 2020 (Wednesday), and rankings will be announced and awards presented on the same day.
IV. Awards:
(I) Number of Awards: A total of 6 outstanding communities will be selected based on their performance. (The number of awards may be reduced if there are insufficient entries; rankings may be left vacant).
(II) Award Method (Top 20% of teams):
1. Special Award: 1 award each for junior high and elementary school groups; a NT$6,000 gift certificate and a certificate of commendation from the Department of Education.
2. Honorable Mention: Each teacher in the team will receive a certificate of commendation from the Department of Education.
V. To promote observation and learning among communities, the project plans and outcome content (including international education integration curriculum design proposals) of the subsidized schools will be posted on the homepage of Xinming Elementary School's website. This will be available for teachers throughout the city to use for promotion indefinitely and free of charge, as well as for students' self-learning.
