Description:
1. In accordance with the letter from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Department") of the Ministry of Education, No. 1080072285A, dated July 23, 108.
2. To effectively bridge the urban-rural gap in English learning for students in remote areas, enabling them to share high-quality English teaching resources with urban students, the Department has commissioned National Central University to organize the aforementioned project. The key points of the project are summarized as follows:
(1) Target audience and number of participants:
1. Substitute teachers: 4 (1 junior high school, 3 elementary school).
2. Current and non-current part-time teachers: 4 junior high school, 16 elementary school.
(2) Job content:
1. Substitute teachers: Teach the national English curriculum to students in remote areas through online distance learning according to the scheduled timetable, and co-plan lessons with collaborating teachers from pilot schools. During non-teaching free periods, prepare lessons and develop teaching materials at the office location arranged by the Institute for Information Industry (III), and assist in the research, development, production, and recording of English thematic courses (including digital materials, etc.).
2. Part-time teachers: Teach the national English curriculum to students in remote areas through online distance learning according to the scheduled timetable, and co-plan lessons with collaborating teachers from pilot schools.
(3) Work location:
1. Substitute teachers will teach remotely from the live broadcast studio (No. 99, Section 3, Ren'ai Road, Daan District, Taipei City). During non-teaching hours, they will work at the Digital Education Research Institute of the III (No. 153, Section 3, Xinyi Road, Daan District, Taipei City).
2. Current part-time teachers will teach in a suitable classroom at their respective schools. Non-current part-time teachers will teach from the live broadcast studio (No. 99, Section 3, Ren'ai Road, Daan District, Taipei City).
(4) Service period:
1. Substitute teachers: From August 7, 108 (or from the actual start date if not hired in time) to July 31, 109.
2. Part-time teachers: From August 20, 108 to June 30, 109.
(5) Selection schedule and procedures (see attachment):
1. Application period: From now until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, July 31, 108.
2. Examination period: From 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 3, 108. Please complete the check-in procedure as notified on the day of the examination.
3. Examination location: Taipei Municipal Zhonglun High School (No. 101, Section 4, Bade Road, Songshan District, Taipei City).
4. Examination method: Each candidate will have an interview (10 minutes) and a teaching demonstration (10 minutes).
5. Announcement of results: Scheduled to be announced on Monday, August 5, 108, on the website for the English Distance Learning Project (URL: https://reurl.cc/7E1oN).
3. For current part-time teachers in the aforementioned project, they will be assisting the Department in providing English distance learning to students in remote areas with their English expertise in addition to their basic teaching hours. Therefore, these teachers are not subject to the restriction of not exceeding 9 periods when combining part-time teaching (overtime teaching) and substitute teaching.
4. Please encourage qualified English teachers with at least 3 years of English teaching experience from your school to serve as distance learning teachers for this project.
