Description:
I. In accordance with the Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's letter No. Tai Jiao Guo Shu Yuan Zi Di 1090000857 dated January 6, 2020.
II. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has collaborated with the National Education Radio to plan and produce the children's radio programs for learning seven new immigrant languages: "Easy to Learn Malay," "Speak Burmese Without Worry," "Filipino is Fun to Learn," "Cambodian Made Easy, Speak Easy," "Speaking Indonesian is Cool!", "Thai is Fun to Learn, Thai is Interesting," and "Easy to Learn Vietnamese." The aim is to encourage parents and children to learn together through listening to the radio, enhancing new immigrant children's understanding and respect for their mothers' native cultures. Hosted by native language teachers and second-generation immigrant students, the programs feature lively and engaging situational conversations with standard pronunciation and clear tones, along with introductions to various cultures, thereby implementing the vision of "Achieving Every Child" and the goal of "Respecting Multiculturalism," and ultimately enhancing national competitiveness.
III. Starting from January 14, 2020 (Tuesday), coinciding with elementary school morning reading time, the programs will be broadcast sequentially from 7:20 AM to 7:30 AM, Monday to Friday, on the National Broadcasting Channel of the Education Radio. The programs are designed with student-centered thematic content, complemented by lively stories, conversations, and songs, adapted from new immigrant language learning materials for radio content. This allows listeners to understand the languages and cultures of new immigrant countries through engaging programs and to enjoy learning the native languages and cultures of new immigrants.
