Description:
1. In accordance with the letter from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Department") of the Ministry of Education, No. 1090080515, dated July 14, 2020.
2. The Department has commissioned National Taiwan Normal University to organize the aforementioned workshop. The workshop aims to assist teachers in understanding students' actual Mandarin proficiency and placement strategies through the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL), and to enhance cross-cultural Mandarin learning and guidance through a digital learning platform.
3. The details of the aforementioned workshop are as follows. Participants who attend one session in its entirety will receive 6 hours of training credit:
(1) Time and Location:
1. Taipei Session:
(1) Time: August 17, 2020 (Monday).
(2) Location: Conference Hall 202, Education Building, Library Campus, National Taiwan Normal University (No. 129, Section 1, Heping East Road, Taipei City).
2. Taichung Session:
(1) Time: August 18, 2020 (Tuesday)
(2) Location: 4th Floor Conference Hall, Qiuzhen Building, Minsheng Campus, National Taichung University of Education (No. 140, Minsheng Road, West District, Taichung City).
(2) Target Audience: Administrative staff and teachers in junior high and elementary schools. Priority will be given to administrative staff and teachers who already have transnational transfer students or have applied for remedial Mandarin funding. Please attend the Taipei or Taichung session nearest to you.
(3) Registration Period and Method:
1. From July 15, 2020, to August 10, 2020.
2. For teachers, please register directly on the National In-service Teacher Education Network. Workshop codes: 2891682 (Taipei Session) / 2891686 (Taichung Session). (Website: https://www1.inservice.edu.tw/). Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis (please check online for your admission status before the workshop).
3. Non-teachers, please fill in the relevant registration information via Google Forms (https://reurl.cc/rxWl4r).
(4) Transportation and Accommodation:
1. This workshop only provides meals, not accommodation. Accommodation and travel expenses should be applied for from your original service unit and reimbursed according to regulations.
2. For those driving or riding motorcycles, parking is available at the parking lot of the Main Campus of National Taiwan Normal University and the Minsheng Campus parking lot of National Taichung University of Education (self-funded).
4. This bureau agrees to grant official (business) leave to school personnel attending the workshop, with the school's approval.
