| Based on professional considerations, such as the fact that long-term observations by elementary school teachers are more accurate than short-term observations by junior high school teachers after enrollment, and to provide gifted students with comprehensive gifted services throughout their three years of junior high school, this city's identification of gifted students in junior high schools for the 110 academic year will be conducted before enrollment, from March to April of next year (110). The eligibility for applying for identification is for 6th-grade students in public and private elementary schools in the 109 academic year. The identification categories include creative ability, academic aptitude in English, and academic aptitude in mathematics and science giftedness. Furthermore, in response to the spirit of the 12-year basic education curriculum guidelines that emphasize inquiry and practical application, the identification of academically gifted students in junior high schools for the 110 academic year will adopt a two-stage model: an initial aptitude test and a secondary practical assessment. |
