2021 Presidential Education Award Selection Group Implementation Plan

Subject: Attached is the "2021 Presidential Education Award Selection and Group Implementation Plan" organized by the Ministry of Education. We encourage all schools to actively recommend students to participate. Please be informed.
Instructions:  
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. Tai Jiao Guo Zi Di 1090146619A dated November 23, 109.
2. Please have all schools actively recommend students who "can face adversity with resilience, demonstrate the positive aspects of human nature, strive for excellence, stand out, and serve as role models" to participate in the "2021 Presidential Education Award" selection activities.
3. The application information for this case is summarized as follows (details in the implementation plan):
(1) Preliminary review recommendation period: From November 30, 109, to December 31, 109 (postmark as proof).
(2) Application receiving units:
1. Senior high school group: Please complete the online application within the deadline (National Dongshi Senior High School website "Presidential Education Award" webpage http://www.tssh.cyc.edu.tw/project/presidential-education-award), download the application materials (formats as detailed in Attachments 1 to 3) and 2 copies of supporting documents, and mail them directly to National Dongshi Senior High School (Address: No. 253, Daxiang Village, Puzi City, Chiayi County 61357) for the preliminary review.
2. Junior high school and elementary school groups:
(1) Online application: Complete the online application within the deadline (National Dongshi Senior High School website "Presidential Education Award" webpage http://www.tssh.cyc.edu.tw/project/presidential-education-award).
(2) Mail hard copy materials and CD: Please download the application materials (formats as detailed in Attachments 1 to 3) and 2 copies of supporting documents (organized in order, fixed with a binder clip) and 1 electronic CD, and mail them directly to Ms. Huang Xiuqing, Director of Academic Affairs, Ruiping Junior High School, Yangmei District, Taoyuan City (No. 535, Wenhua Street, Ruiping Village, Yangmei District, Taoyuan City) for compilation. 4. Schools whose junior high and elementary school groups pass the preliminary review for this case are required to send representatives to attend the "Secondary Review Guidance Meeting." Systematic guidance strategies will be employed, and experts and scholars will be invited to provide guidance. The meeting schedule will be notified separately.
5. To encourage students' positive and proactive good character, and to thank the supervising teachers for their hard work, the recommended students and the teachers (supervising teachers) who recommended students for the award will be rewarded as follows:
(1) Recommended students:
1. Senior high school students: For students recommended by senior high schools who do not pass the preliminary review by the National Academy for Educational Research, the school shall award the student a commendation once. For students who pass the preliminary review, the bureau will present a commemorative plaque, and the school shall award the student a minor merit once. For students who pass the secondary review and are selected as "Presidential Education Award" winners, the school shall award a major merit once.
2. Junior high school students: For students recommended by junior high schools who do not pass the city's preliminary review, the school shall award the student a commendation once. For students who pass the city's preliminary review, the bureau will present a commemorative plaque, and the school shall award the student a minor merit once. For students who pass the secondary review and are selected as "Presidential Education Award" winners, the school shall award a major merit once.
3. Elementary school students: For participating students, each school shall reward them generously according to their authority as a form of encouragement. For students who pass the city's preliminary review, the bureau will present a commemorative plaque.
(2) Supervising teachers: In accordance with the "Regulations on Performance Evaluation of Principals of Public Senior High Schools and Below," "Regulations on Performance Evaluation of Teachers of Public Senior High Schools and Below," and "Taoyuan City Municipal Schools and Kindergartens Staff Reward and Punishment Points," the proposed rewards are as follows:
1. Senior high school teachers: Teachers who recommend students for the preliminary review by the National Academy for Educational Research shall be awarded a certificate of commendation once. Teachers whose recommended students pass the preliminary review by the National Academy for Educational Research but are not selected for the "Presidential Education Award" shall be awarded a commendation once. Teachers who guide students to pass the secondary review and are selected for the "Presidential Education Award" shall be awarded a commendation twice. After the activity, schools shall report the list of awardees to the bureau and process staff rewards according to relevant regulations. If the rewards involve principals or personnel, a letter of recommendation for reward and punishment and WebHR shall be submitted to the bureau's personnel office. For accounting personnel, a letter of recommendation for reward and punishment shall be submitted to the bureau's accounting office.
2. Junior and elementary school teachers: Teachers who recommend students for the city's preliminary review shall be awarded a certificate of commendation once. Teachers whose recommended students pass the city's preliminary review but are not selected for the "Presidential Education Award" shall be awarded a commendation once. Teachers who guide students to pass the secondary review and are selected for the "Presidential Education Award" shall be awarded a commendation twice.
