Explanation:
1. In accordance with the Taoyuan City Government Education Bureau's letter No. 1100014518 dated February 22, 2021.

2. To align with the estimated number of public school faculty and staff retiring in 2022 and the required retirement and pension budget, the Taoyuan City Government Education Bureau requests that faculty and staff of our school who plan to retire in 2022 register with the Human Resources Office by the deadline of Friday, March 5, 2021.

3. For those who have registered to retire in 2022 and have not yet submitted the required documents for their personal personnel file to the Human Resources Office, please submit photocopies to our office for compilation. Thank you.

*According to Article 21 of the "Act Governing Retirement, Resignation, and Severance of Public School Teachers and Staff," the retirement effective date for teachers or principals, except in special circumstances, shall be February 1st or August 1st.
However, to ensure the learning rights and educational opportunities of students in all levels of schools within the city, as well as the normal operation of school affairs, teachers are requested to apply for retirement effective August 1, 2022, as a general principle.

*Public servants applying for retirement in 2022 who wish to choose to receive a monthly pension (or a combined pension) must have a combined total of years of service and age of 86 or more, and be at least 55 years old. Educational personnel must have a combined total of years of service and age of 80 or more, and be at least 50 years old. However, faculty and staff who met the legal requirements for receiving a monthly pension before the enforcement of the "Act Governing Retirement, Resignation, and Severance of Public School Teachers and Staff" and retire in accordance with Article 18 may choose to receive the pension benefits specified in Paragraph 1 of Article 27, without being subject to the age restrictions for receiving a monthly pension.
