The Civil Service Development Institute of the Public Service and Human Resources Development and Training Institute of the Executive Yuan (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) is offering a "Data Journalism" MOOCs course. All colleagues of our university are welcome to sign up.
Details:
1. In accordance with the Institute's letter No. 1100800122 dated May 3, 110, a copy of the original letter (including attachments) is attached.
2. To enable colleagues in government agencies to understand the meaning of data from news data, and to acquire the ability to process data, visualize data, and interpret and analyze data, the Institute has partnered with the MOOCs learning platform "TaiwanLIFE Taiwan Lifelong Learning Platform" to offer this seminar. The relevant information is as follows:
(1) Participants: Civil servants of central and local government agencies under the Executive Yuan who are interested in the aforementioned courses are welcome to register freely.
(2) Course Period: From July 1, 110, to July 29, 110. Participants will arrange their own time to complete the online learning content according to the course progress.
(3) Course Hours and Completion Requirements:
1. Course Hours: The course is divided into 4 weeks. During the course period, participants will complete the video materials, quizzes, and discussion topics for each unit according to the learning theme (divided into 16 main units, with approximately 15 minutes of video per unit. Each week requires about 2 hours for reading, quizzes, and discussions).
2. Completion Requirements: Participants who complete the video materials (30%), achieve a score of 50% or higher in the quizzes for each unit (scored based on accuracy), and participate in discussions and complete the final assessment (20%), with a total score of 60 points or more, will pass. Those who pass will be awarded 8 hours of lifelong learning credit for civil servants.
(4) Implementation Method:
1. Those who wish to participate should complete the registration process as described in Section 3. After being approved by the Institute, a notification of admission will be sent in late June.
2. Participants will log in to the TaiwanLIFE Taiwan Lifelong Learning Platform (https://taiwanlife.org/) to select courses online according to the admission notification.
3. During the course period, participants will independently study on the TaiwanLIFE Taiwan Lifelong Learning Platform according to the course progress requirements (including reading, quizzes, and discussions).
4. Participants who meet the course completion requirements and are approved by the course instructors will be awarded lifelong learning hours for civil servants.
5. No certificate of completion will be provided for the aforementioned course. Those who require a certificate may apply for it at their own expense according to the procedures set by the TaiwanLIFE Taiwan Lifelong Learning Platform.
3. Registration Method: From now until June 10, 110, participants should log in to the Institute's "Training Needs and Learning Services System" using their national identification card or personal account and password, and complete the online registration through "Individual Registration" in the personal portal.
