For your information, in conjunction with school suspensions due to the severe special infectious pneumonia epidemic, please be advised of the leave regulations for personnel of various agencies (organizations) who require leave to care for their children due to school suspensions.

Explanation:
1. In accordance with the Central Epidemic Command Center's letter dated May 17, 110 (2021), No. 肺中指字第1104100106, and the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration's letter dated May 17, 110 (2021), No. 總處培字第1103001770, with copies of the original letters attached.

2. Regarding the leave regulations for various personnel who need to care for their children due to school suspensions, please refer to the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration's letter dated February 27, 109 (2020), No. 總處培字第1090027627, with the following key points:
(1) One parent who meets the following criteria may apply for epidemic prevention care leave:
1. Those who need to care for children under 12 years of age, or children attending senior high schools (including vocational high schools, and the first, second, and third years of five-year junior colleges) or junior high schools who have a disability certificate.
2. Those who need to care for children because short-term tutoring classes, kindergartens, and childcare service centers, etc., are suspended in accordance with regulations for primary and secondary schools, or who voluntarily take leave for their young children.
(2) The aforementioned parents include biological parents, adoptive parents, legal guardians, or other individuals who are actually caring for the children (e.g., grandparents).
(3) Epidemic prevention care leave is unpaid.
(4) In addition to applying for epidemic prevention care leave, personnel may also take leave as personal leave (family care leave), annual leave, or compensatory time off for overtime in accordance with the existing leave regulations applicable to their respective categories.
(5) All agencies shall grant the various types of leave applied for by their personnel in accordance with the aforementioned regulations, and such leave shall not affect performance evaluations or result in any other unfavorable treatment.
