| Excerpts from the implementation plan for the counseling program are as follows: |
| (1) | Target Audience: Individuals who meet one of the following dual special needs for students with disabilities and giftedness. |
| 1. | Students with disabilities and giftedness. |
| 2. | Students with disabilities who have a need for giftedness development, are recommended by parents or teachers, and have been assessed and approved by scholars and experts (recommendation and assessment form must be attached). |
| 3. | Gifted students who exhibit characteristics of disabilities and require special needs services for disabilities, have been observed by parents or teachers, and have been assessed and approved by scholars and experts (observation and assessment form must be attached). |
| (2) | Content: Scholars and experts from various districts will be invited to provide counseling, and a counseling program for giftedness development for students with dual special needs will be planned and implemented. This may include school-based gifted programs, regional gifted programs, itinerant counseling, individual counseling, mentorship, or other diverse forms of implementation. |
| (3) | Period: August 1, 2021, to July 31, 2022. |
| (4) | Subsidy Standards and Items: A maximum subsidy of NT$20,000 per student per semester (per academic year) (NT$40,000) will be provided. Subsidy items include fees for scholars and experts, lecture fees, teaching fees, material costs, domestic travel expenses, short-distance transportation costs, supplementary health insurance premiums, miscellaneous expenses, etc. The budget items should be allocated according to the "Budget Allocation Standards for Subsidized and Commissioned Projects by the Ministry of Education." |
| III. | Schools wishing to apply for the aforementioned project should submit the program application form, financial application form, and other relevant documents to the Taoyuan City Senior High School Gifted Education Resource Center (Wuling Senior High School) by June 10, 2021 (Thursday). Please confirm by phone after sending the email. |
| IV. | Attached are the formats for the "Dual Special Needs Student Identification and Counseling Program Implementation Plan" and the "Special Needs Student Checklist," each in one copy. |
