Indigenous Peoples Traditional Knowledge and Creations Protection Act

Subject: Forwarding one copy of the Indigenous Peoples Traditional Wisdom and Creative Rights Registration Summary Table (hereinafter referred to as the "Summary Table") from the Council of Indigenous Peoples (hereinafter referred to as "CIP"). Please post this notice at your school and strengthen publicity regarding the implementation of the "Indigenous Peoples Traditional Wisdom and Creative Rights Protection Act." Your attention is appreciated.
Explanation:  
1. In accordance with the CIP's official letter dated November 2, 2021, No. 1100065160.
2. Article 7 of the "Indigenous Peoples Traditional Wisdom and Creative Rights Protection Act" (hereinafter referred to as the "Act") stipulates that exclusive rights for registered and announced traditional wisdom and creations have been obtained, as listed in the aforementioned Summary Table.
3. The use of traditional wisdom and creations shall be handled in accordance with the following regulations:
(1) Article 10 of the Act states that the exclusive rights for traditional wisdom and creations can be divided into moral rights and economic rights. For the former, the holder of exclusive rights has the exclusive right to publicly disclose, indicate their name, and prohibit others from distorting, mutilating, altering, or using other methods to change the content, form, or title of their traditional wisdom and creations in a way that damages their reputation. For the latter, unless otherwise provided by law or contract, the holder of exclusive rights shall, in the name of a specific ethnic group, tribe, or all indigenous peoples, exclusively use and benefit from the economic rights of their traditional wisdom and creations.
(2) Article 13 of the Act states that the holder of exclusive rights may authorize others to use their economic rights. The region, time, content, method of use, or other matters of the authorized use shall be agreed upon by the parties. If it is an exclusive authorization, the parties shall sign and submit the contract or proof of authorization to the CIP for registration.
(3) Article 16 of the Act states that the following situations allow for the use of publicly disclosed traditional wisdom and creations, provided that the source is indicated:
1. For personal or household non-profit use.
2. For reporting, commentary, education, or research purposes.
3. For other legitimate purposes through reasonable means.
4.
