| 1. | Our center is recognized by the government as a lifelong learning certification institution for civil servants. Our training partners include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs, the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration, Executive Yuan, the National Academy of Civil Service, and the Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare. We are also a research and development unit commissioned by the Taipei City Department of Education, the NTU Teacher Education Center, and the Taipei City All-English Teaching Research Center to offer bilingual teacher enhancement courses. |
| 2. | This course—the Bilingual Teacher Enhancement Short-Term Program—aims to improve the teaching knowledge and skills of bilingual teachers in primary and secondary schools. In addition to the core concepts of CLIL, it includes English enhancement (including subject-specific English), as well as practical sharing and lesson plan development in various subject areas. Through this course, bilingual teachers can enhance their professional skills in CLIL classroom teaching and assessment, while also boosting their confidence in English expression. |
| 3. | This course will be conducted online. Detailed course information is as follows: |
| (1) | Course Period: January 26 (Wed) to January 28 (Fri), 2022, for a total of 16 hours. |
| (2) | Course Features: |
| 1. | Emphasis on both theory and practice, integrating teaching and assessment; |
| 2. | Includes English enhancement (subject-specific English), classroom language training, and lesson plan sharing and development in various subject areas; |
| 3. | Participants who meet the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion and a free voucher for the General English Proficiency Test (GEPT) Intermediate-Plus Listening and Reading (CEFR B2) in 2022. |
| (3) | Target Audience: In-service primary and secondary school teachers who are currently engaged in or about to engage in bilingual teaching. It is recommended that applicants have proof of English proficiency at the GEPT Intermediate level or equivalent to CEFR B1. |
