To inform colleagues of our school about the relevant matters concerning official leave and compensatory leave for election work.
Details:
1. In accordance with the Taoyuan City Election Commission's letter dated November 17, 110 (2021), No. 1103150191.
2. According to the Ministry of Education's letter dated September 4, 108 (2019), No. TAI-CHIAO-GUO-BU-ZI-DI-1080077978, teachers in public schools who serve as chief administrators, chief supervisors, and administrators of polling stations shall be granted official leave for the period from the day before the election to the polling station for collecting ballots and setting up the polling station. They shall also be compensated for the hourly wages of the classes they miss due to this official leave, to facilitate the smooth progress of election work.
3. The relevant matters for our school's participation in election work are as follows:
(1) School staff participating in election work training shall, in principle, register for official leave and manage their own classes. If they choose to attend sessions on Saturdays, Sundays, or evenings due to class schedules or other reasons, they may take half a day of compensatory leave within one year, provided that they manage their own classes.
(2) Chief administrators, chief supervisors, and administrators serving in election work shall be granted official leave with substitute coverage for the period from the day before the election to the polling station for collecting ballots and setting up the polling station. The expenses incurred shall be covered by the school's personnel expenses.
