| I. | Guided by the Ministry of Education, the Environmental Protection Administration, and the Council of Agriculture, and organized by our association, the "Climate Change National Primary and Junior High School Painting Competition" has been held for 11 sessions, with a cumulative total of 52,666 students from 37 countries participating. This is the 12th session, and in response to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2 and 12, the theme is "The Beautiful 'Food' Moments of Earth." The aim is to enhance the awareness of primary and junior high school students and teachers regarding issues such as food security, sustainable agriculture, balanced nutrition, and sustainable consumption and production, as well as to broaden international perspectives and translate them into practical climate actions. The competition also echoes UN SDG 13, encouraging proactive climate action and raising public awareness. |
| II. | Registration Period: From now until April 18, 2022 (Monday). To encourage participation from teachers and students, awardees will receive certificates of merit and letters of appreciation, respectively. The total prize money for this competition is up to NT$100,000. Winning entries will also have the opportunity to be exhibited at the "Taipei Metro Art Corridor" and the "National Science and Technology Museum in Kaohsiung." | III. | If teachers integrate this activity into their environmental education courses, they can apply to open a course on the Environmental Protection Administration's lifelong learning website for environmental education (elearn.epa.gov.tw) and log the actual learning hours of teachers and students after the course to obtain environmental education hours. |
| IV. | Our association has a limited supply of drawing paper for the competition available for application. Please apply on a school-by-school basis. Supplies are limited and will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis. For details, please register and apply on the event website. You can also participate in the competition using regular octavo drawing paper. |
