| Subject: | We kindly request your school to actively encourage faculty and staff to get their influenza vaccination boosters to enhance their self-protection. Please acknowledge receipt. |
| Explanation: |
| 1. | Reference is made to our letter of January 14, 111 (2022), No. 1110004592, Department of Education and Sports. |
| 2. | Starting January 6, 111 (2022), the vaccination targets for the 110 (2021) influenza vaccination program have been expanded to include "all individuals aged 6 months and above who have not yet been vaccinated, provided they hold Republic of China nationality. Foreign nationals must possess a residence permit (including diplomatic, international organization, and foreign organization official identification)." |
| 3. | We urge your school to actively encourage faculty and staff to get their influenza vaccination boosters at local health centers. If you wish to get vaccinated at a contracted medical institution, please inquire and make an appointment in advance, and you will be responsible for the registration fee. A list of contracted medical institutions offering vaccinations can be found on the homepage of the Taoyuan City Government Department of Health website (https://dph.tycg.gov.tw/index.jsp) > Business Information > Vaccination > Vaccination (Influenza Vaccine). |
| 4. | Please assist in reminding faculty and staff that there should be a 7-day interval between influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccination. Furthermore, the Department agrees to grant half a day of official leave for faculty and staff who need to get vaccinated outside of school, provided they arrange their own class coverage. Please verify the vaccination records of such individuals accordingly. |
