| Subject: | To inform you about the Ministry of Education's National and Preschool Education Administration (hereinafter referred to as the "Administration") subsidizing the Taiwan Design Research Institute to organize the "2021 Textbook Design Award OPEN BOOK Textbook Design Exhibition," please be informed. |
| Explanation: |
| I. | Based on the Administration's official letter dated March 23, 111 (2022), No. 1110038081. |
| II. | Textbooks are learning tools that students use daily. To enhance students' learning interest and efficiency through high-quality textbook design in elementary and junior high schools, the Administration is subsidizing the Taiwan Design Research Institute to organize the aforementioned design award. The award is divided into two categories: "Cover Design" and "Learning Design." Not only do textbook publishing companies submit entries, but also various design studios and university design departments present outstanding works, demonstrating the importance of textbook design in boosting students' learning enthusiasm and effectiveness, which has garnered attention from all sectors. |
| III. | The aforementioned design award ceremony was held on March 15, 111 (2022), and the "OPEN BOOK Textbook Design Exhibition" also commenced on the same day. In addition to showcasing the award-winning works, the exhibition also presents the research process and innovative achievements in textbook design in recent years. Relevant information is as follows: |
| (1) | Exhibition Period: From March 15, 111 (2022) (Tuesday) to April 10, 111 (2022) (Sunday), daily from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Closed on Mondays. |
| (2) | Exhibition Venue: Taipei Songshan Cultural and Creative Park - Taiwan Design Museum, Exhibition Area 04 (No. 133, Guangfu South Road, Xinyi District, Taipei City). |
| (3) | Admission to this exhibition is free. |
| IV. | To guide teachers, students, and parents in understanding the importance of "student-centered" learning design elements integrated into textbooks for enhancing students' learning enthusiasm and promoting reading comprehension, and to expand the benefits of this award, please encourage teachers and students to plan relevant on-campus teaching activities or visit the exhibition during their leisure time. |
