Taipei Media School (TMS) is jointly organized by the Taipei City Government's Department of Cultural Affairs and the Taipei City Cultural Foundation. It recruits students who have graduated from junior high school (including those in their final year) or possess equivalent academic qualifications, and are interested in music, performance, visual technology, and administration.

II.

TMS is the first technical experimental education institution in Taiwan funded by a government-established foundation, and the first non-school-based experimental education institution registered in Taipei City. With writer Li Yuan (also known as Xiao Ye) serving as the principal, it aims to cultivate high school-level talent in film, television, and music. It has been operating for 6 years and is now recruiting its 7th cohort of new students.

III.

During their studies, TMS students receive student identification and tuition subsidies from the Ministry of Education. Upon completion of the program with satisfactory grades, the Taipei City Department of Education will issue a certificate of completion for experimental education, which can be used to apply for university with equivalent academic qualifications.
